The Wayside Inn

David was friendly and very helpful in getting us. The best room with the best view available We had the one bedroom suite on the 3rd floor. The view was great and room was very comfortable, warm, clean and inviting. The full kitchen and full size fridge were perfect for our needs.

What a lucky find! The Wayside Inn was amazing! All staff were very attentive and friendly. The property location is extremely convenient for the beach, but also walking distance to Mo’s, Sea Level Bakery, Warren House Pub, the Fresh Foods grocery and more cute local spots. There were so many thoughtful touches that made The Wayside Inn comfy and cozy for the week. I would love to stay here again!

Well cared for aged building, I think they may have done a general cosmetic update in recent years but didn't really alter the overall time-frame of the building; it was roomy with kitchenette with dishes and utensils if this fits your needs. Friendly staff, clean, quiet, parking is convenient, as well as location to the beach. Staff gave us a courtesy call the evening of our check in to see if we were still coming, I told them we were still over an hour away and they said they would still be in the office. After our stay, they called to see if we left our charging device in the room, but we hadn't, it must have been someone previous to us, but soooo appreciated the cleaning staff for doing the right thing and taking it to the office to be claimed (you hear so many horror stories of people getting ripped off). Overall a good experience!

This is the most darling, charming hotel. The location is excellent with lovely views & great beach access. The pool &b hot tub were great & having a fireplace in the room is unmatched. It was so cozy & comfortable. Hearing the ocean waves is also an absolute delight. Highly recommend & would book again!

This is a great location for access to Cannon Beach, Ecola Park, Arcadia Beach, and Short Sands Beach. The rooms are pretty nice. Ours had a gas fireplace. The bathroom was pretty tight. It has a small round table with 2 chairs, a fridge and microwave. Also a pool and hot tub, and a nice balcony with beach chairs overlooking the beach.

The room was very clean, bed luxuriously cozy, and the curtains worked well to help block out a decent amount of light for us to sleep in. We LOVED our corner-unit king suite with a balcony and an ocean view. Overall it was pretty quiet, but the walls are pretty thin so you'll be able to hear people walking up/down stairs and vehicles driving on the streets. The price couldn't be beat, we checked out 4 different hotels in the area for a same day check-in, and Wayside had the best prices for the best amenities. The gentleman at the reception desk was courteous and made us feel welcomed and answered all of our questions. We also loved that there was a coffee maker with coffee provided in our room, so we spent our morning sipping coffee by the fire place, watching the waves.

I stayed at the hotel for just one night with my dog. I arrived in the evening and left early the next morning, so I was mostly just there to sleep. The location is quite nice, and for this area, the hotel is reasonably priced. Overall, it’s a good budget-friendly option. However, the room didn’t smell the best, which was a bit disappointing. What I also found a little unusual was the placement of the TV — if I wanted to watch it, I had to sit on a chair, since it wasn’t really possible to watch comfortably from the bed. That felt a bit odd. It was fine for listening to music, though. Since I was only staying one night, it was manageable. For a short stay, it does the job.

We had a great experience at the Wayside Inn. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, and our kids really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The location made it easy to walk to the beach and explore Haystack Rock. It rained off and on during our stay, but it was nice being able to watch the storms from our room. Overall, it was an easy and relaxing family trip, and we will definitely stay here again.
